Mr. Sternberg is a third generation entrepreneur who has started numerous businesses (both successful and unsuccessful) before Landers & Sternberg PLLC. His grandfather and father were in the wholesale produce business and taught him the value of hard work. As the first attorney in his family, Joseph was inspired to pursue a legal career after his older sister was involved in a life-altering car accident that involved a long contentious lawsuit against U-Haul. He is driven to go beyond what is expected of him in providing novel solutions to his clients.

While attending the University of Miami School of Law, he interned for the honorable Judge Spencer Eig and was a member of the Bankruptcy Pro Bono Assistance Clinic that assists clients in their pursuit of a fresh start. He received direct leadership from the judges and mentor attorneys to learn the inner workings of the legal system. He was also the President of the Cardozo Legal Society, promoting and organizing networking and community events within Miami. Joseph also provided pro bono services to clients in the Venture Law Project of Dade Legal Aid

Before Landers & Sternberg PLLC, Joseph practiced law in Arizona with Thrasher Law Offices, conducting due diligence for real estate transactions and assisting startups in various legal matters. He has travelled and lived abroad extensively and was a co-founder of an international consulting company assisting manufacturers in production expansion in Southeast Asia.

Joseph attended the University of Arizona in his hometown of Tucson, Arizona where he received his B.S.B.A. in Business Economics at the Eller School of Business. When he isn’t practicing law, he enjoys reading, running, practicing yoga, and meditating
